He was predeceased by: his parents, Albian Britten and Wilhemina Britten (Johnson); his former wife Veryl Sandvig; his son Dale; his sisters, Edith Britten and Lorna Vidas; his son-in-law Evon Towne; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Parker, Orlando "Lucky" Lorch, Robert Vidas and Joyce Britten.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Johnson; his daughters, Diane Towne of Marseilles, IL., Marlene Britten of Mesa, AZ and Darlene Hansen (Ken) of Salem, WI; his siblings, Vera Ulrich, Rosalie Parker, Inga Lorch and Lester Britten; and his stepchildren, Sally Hanks (Bob), Steve Johnson, Bill Johnson (Chris) and Jim Johnson. He is also survived by four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
