He was predeceased by: his parents, Elihu Brown and Verna Brown (Lester); his wife Sophia Ellen Brown; his daughter Doris; and his siblings, Vernell, Rita, Nita and Billy.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Brown, Russell Brown, Melinda Hartsfield (Garfield) and Karen Roth (Daniel); and his grandchildren, Christy Burcham, Jacob, Joshua, Heather Searles, Haley Johnson and Molly Brown. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
