It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Ruefer (Kenosha, Wisconsin), born in Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on March 9, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Gardner and Gerda Gardner (Wissman); her husband Harold Ruefer; and her brothers, Ron and Len Gardner.

She is survived by: her former husband Richard Robinson; her daughters, Julie Schmit (Michael) and Jill Kirby (Kevin); her grandchildren, Alyssa Schmit, Josh Kirby and Erika Kirby; and her sisters-in-law, Ingrid Gardner and Dena Papantchev Gardner.

Facial coverings and social distancing are required to attend services.
