It is with sadness that the passing of John A. Proko (Kenosha, Wisconsin) is shared. John passed away on November 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Magdalene "Maggie" Proko; and his siblings, Elinor (Clayton), Mahlon (Lucille), Paul (Phyllis), David and Mary Ann (Robert).
He is survived by: his children, Kay Dreher (Bill), Don Proko (Kelly), Lynn Siering (Jim), Larry Proko (Tammy), Carole Thulin (Nelson) and Gail Proko; and his grandchildren, Dr. Stephanie Momper (Nick), Rebecca Herrera (Troy), Elizabeth Sand (Kevin), Michael DiCello III, Joel DiCello (Penelope), Cheryl DiCello (Naoya), Rachael Proko-Viola (Dreu), Leah Pitts (Andy), Spencer Thulin, Paige Thulin (India) and Noah Thulin. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Proko Funeral Home (5111 60th St, Kenosha, WI 53144). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 6:45 PM, on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at 12:00 PM, at 1:15 PM and on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
