He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Stoops and Mary Anne Stoops (Abercrombie); and his brother-in-law Jimmy VanOsdol. He is survived by: his wife Bunny; his children, Amanda Steele (Shane) and Brian Stoops; his grandchildren, Lily, Max, Jack Steele, Ari and Grant Stoops; his brother Ken Stoops; and his sister-in-law Randye VanOsdol.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Proko Funeral Home & Crematory (5111 60th St, Kenosha, WI 53144). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution to your favorite charity in John's name would be appreciated.
