She was predeceased by: her parents, Collier Bryant Sr. and Birdie Mae Cotten (Hancock); her husband Charles Edward Griffin; and her siblings, Collier Henry Bryant Jr., Deedie Winston and Samette Wright.

She is survived by: her children, Dr. Anthony C. Griffin (Anne), Michael D. Griffin, Reverend D. Darrell Griffin, Kerry Griffin and Kelly G. Griffin (Christine); her grandsons, Miles S. Griffin, Bryce L. Griffin and Myles V. Griffin; her sister Minnie Cotten; and her sister-in-law Ella Mae Griffin.
