She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Thome and Catherine Thome (Ritter); her husband John Hofmann; her siblings, Hildegard Dirkes, Marcella Schneider, Marie Lauer, Catherine Schoenberg, Aloys Thome, Albert Thome and Peter Thome; her granddaughter Kimberly; and her daughter-in-law Nancy.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Vermillion (Kerry) of Santa Clarita, CA, Stephen of Chamberlin, SD, Charles (Teresa) of Kenosha, Carol Rice (Patrick) of Cottage Grove, MN and Catherine Hart (William) of Lake Forest, IL; and her grandchildren, Benjamin (Lindsay), Andrew, Erica (Michael), Eva (Tylor), Sean (Lindsay), Sara (David), Anna (Richard), Ryan, Erin (Neil), Chris (Jamie), Brenna (Michael), Erik (Taryn) and Kaley (Brad). She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
