He was predeceased by: his father James McCarter. He is survived by: his mother Gloria McCarter (Morkrid); his wife Theresa Van Dyke; his siblings, Jeff McCarter (Marina) and Deborah Shepard; and his nephews, Andrew, Daniel and Drew Shepard.
