He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Graef and Maria Graef (Fischer); and his brothers, Frank, Lothar and Hans.
He is survived by: his siblings, Anton Graef and Joanna Graef; his sister-in-law Sharon Graef (Frank); his niece Jennifer Lee (Grant); his great-nieces, Cora and Harper Lee; his nephew Adam Graef; his aunt Magdalena Hanftaler; and his cousin Renate Geisler (Edgar).
