He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Balk and Frances Balk (Johnson); his wife Patricia Stevens; and his brothers, James and Ronald Balk.
He is survived by: his children, Nicholas P. Balk, Melissa Jeranek (Robert) and Allison Bonner (Kevin DeBruin); his grandchildren, Jennifer Czekalski, Patrick Balk (Ashley), Debra Pratola (Chris), Emily Garrison (Dean), Daniel Misciagno, Megan Bonner, Katherine Hackbarth (Kenny), James Bonner (Audrey), Stephen Misciagno, Jessica Bonner, Abigail Gennaccaro (Michael), Sarah Bonner, Nicholas Misciagno, Dennis Berg and Jesse Christian; and his sister Janice Kruger. He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials to either Gideans International or Wycliffe Bible Translators would be appreciated.
