She was predeceased by: her father Leonard Ripp; her father-in-law Richard Wermeling; and her uncle Gerald Ruben. She is survived by: her husband John; her children, Allison Wantoch (Alex), Ashlee, Amanda, Aaron, Austin, Zachary, James and Nathan; her mother Maxine Ripp; her mother-in-law Jean Wermeling; and her brother Joseph Ripp. She is also survived by many friends and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, Patti asked for donations to be made to Safe Harbor Humane Society.
