He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Anderson and Marie Anderson (Bouterse); his wife Margaret "Peggy" Brown of Paul's Lutheran Church; his former wife Marilyn Anderson; his daughter Sandra; his siblings, Lois Pfarr (Don), Richard Anderson (Bettie), Beatrice Smith (Lester) and Roger Anderson (Pat); his granddaughter Alyssa; his brother-in-law Charles King; and his son-in-law Randy Hanson.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Hanson, Ronnie Anderson (Debra), Debra Neuman (Mark), Gayle Provenzo (Mark) and Cathy Bastrup (Lance); his siblings, Beverly King, Joanne Beronich (John), Sharon Anderson and Wayne Anderson (Judy); and his grandchildren, Duane Althoff, David Althoff, Georgett Hall, JB Hall, Kelly Gerda, Tim Breuhl, Kristy Smith, Chris Smith, Shannon Chovan and Katie Bastrup. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
