He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Nighbert and Violette Nighbert (Schutz); his wife Kathleen Nighbert; his sons, Edward Allen and Daniel Joseph; his sisters-in-law, Linda Nighbert, Lin Gaffney and Marcia Gaffney; and his in-laws, J. Thomas and Margaret Gaffney.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Spiegelhoff, Matthew Nighbert (Susanne) and Beth Dillon (Sean); his grandchildren, Erin, Megan Dillon, Sarah, Becca Spiegelhoff and Cassandra Nighbert; his brother Michael Nighbert; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Gaffney, Thomas Gaffney and Patricia Yule (Roger).
