He is survived by: his wife Gerty (Gertrude Wermske); his children, Ted Gianakos (Michele), Julie Arciniegas (Yeiner) and Cheri Steck (Michael); his grandchildren, Sarah (Jon), Marissa, Alicia, Matthew, Jenna, Brandon Gianakos and Max Lusiak; his great grandchild Thomas; and his sister Mary Painter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
