He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Taft and Viola Taft (Kulbeck); and his brothers, Dave, Don and Bill Taft.
He is survived by: his children, Jason Taft (Maria Flores) of Racine, WI, Erin Dortch (Kareem) of San Antonio, TX and Alexander Taft (Makeda); his grandchildren, Madison Taft, Daniela Taft, Na'lliyah Mulkey, Jay'da Mulkey and Secora Taft; his stepgrandchildren, Kandon Dortch, Alexis Dortch, Jaden Lee, Yashawn Lee and Orel Lee; and his great grandchild Shawn Timothy Taft-Smith (Linda Lapham).
