With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wava Jean Nelson of Kenosha, Wisconsin, born in Baraboo, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 13, 2024 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Weinke and Zona Scott (Gardner); her grandparents, Elmer, Mary Elnora Gardner and Martha Weinke; her stepfather Harry Scott; her husband Wesley Nelson; her brothers, Richard Scott and Kenneth Hammond; her sisters-in-law, Ann Scott and Marlys Scott; and her aunts, Gladys Matitz and Evelyn Hepp.
She is survived by: her son Scott Nelson (Geri) of Lake Villa, IL; her grandchildren, Benjamin Nelson (Brooklynn) of West Bend, WI and Elaina Nelson of Rantoul, IL; and her brothers, Robert Scott of McFarland, WI and Craig Scott (Norma) of New Richmond, WI. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
