He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Magritz; his sons, Walter Brienen (Debbie) and Donald Brienen (Amy); and his siblings, Dorothy Grusczynski, Sandy Hunt (Kalvin) and Dale Brienen (Lori). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
