She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitchell Peters and Catherine "Grandma Studie" Peters (Dick); her husband John Dess, Sr.; her boyfriend Ronald "Ji" Frechette; her siblings, Emelda Tyler (Bob), Lyle Peters, Roger Peters (Joyce), Veronica "Cookie" Peters and Roberta "Robin" Smith (Jim); her grandson Brennan Waupoose; and her sister Bea Wilber Corn.
She is survived by: her son John Dess, Jr. (Michelle Keshena); her grandchildren, John III (Elizabeth), Natana (Joe), Derrick (Jessica) and Neesha; her son Robert Dess (Kemawin); her grandchildren, Wahpahnesew, Diondre, Peqtahseh (Schuylar) and Blaze; her child Terrilyn Dess; her grandchildren, Colin (Bambi), Cody and Markala (Mark); her son Ron "Pasq" Frechette, Jr. (Kelly); her grandchildren, Joseph, Kaylean, Ron III (Tiana), Kileigh and Cedar; and her siblings, Willard "Buzz" Peters (Rorah), Andrea "Handy" Vasquez and Jean Besaw. She is also survived by 39 great-grandchildren.
