He was predeceased by : his parents, Jerome Schladweiler and Margaret Schladweiler (Dahm); his parents-in-law, George and Fern Kress; his brothers-in-law, Gerald "Jerry" Vetter, Gary Nelson, Tim "Butch" Vrana, George "Butch" Kress, Jack Schoebel (Nancy) and Richard "Rich" Madell; and his granddaughter Caitlyn Ziegelbauer.

He is survived by : his wife Kaye Ziegelbauer; his children, Cheryl Steffes (Scott), Tim Schladweiler (Tammy), Rita Butke, Holly Walls and Cole Ziegelbauer; his grandsons, Alex Phillips, Matthew Schladweiler, Daniel Schladweiler, Rob Walls, Adam Walls and David Ziegelbauer; his siblings, Helen Kertscher (Floyd), Carol Vetter, Jerome Jr. Schladweiler (Anita), Mary Vrana, Joanne Arndt (Greg) and Joyce Nelson; and his nephew Kurt Schoebel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
