He was predeceased by: his brothers, Ross Averill and William Averill; his father-in-law Gregor "Crickets" Rohlinger; and his sister-in-law Connie Averill. He is survived by: his wife Carol Averill; his stepdaughter Cassandra Wilson (Vince); his siblings, Renee Averill, Russ Averill (Jane), Randy Averill (Judy), Roger Averill, Roy Averill (Carolyn) and Reid Averill (Maria); his mother-in-law Beverly Rohlinger; and his in-laws, Tom Rohlinger (Marlene), Kathy Rohlinger, Tim Rohlinger (Tammy) and Kelly Marquardt (Kevin). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
