He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilfred Spartz and Evelyn Spartz; his siblings, Evie Schmidt, John Spartz and Robert "Bob" Spartz; his in-laws, Edward and Irene Dreher; his siblings-in-law, Alan, Shirley Dreher, Merlin Dreher, Ramona Dreher, Floyd "Fuzzy", Judy Dreher, Jerry "Suss" Dreher, Carol Dreher, Alois Staehler and Stan Dirks; and his son-in-law John Mertzig.
He is survived by : his wife Janet Dreher; his children, Brian Spartz (Kim), Tina Mertzig and Nicholas Spartz (Dawn); his grandchildren, Owen (Heidi Anderson), Olivia Spartz, Faith, Raymond Mertzig, Caelen, Grace and Emma Spartz; his sister Betty Arndt (John); his siblings-in-law, Joan Spartz (Joe Schmit), Rose Spartz, Joan Dirks, Edward Dreher and Richard "Dougan" Dreher (Joanne Griepentrog); and his friends, Thomas and Janet. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
