He is survived by: his wife Mary Swagel; his children, Maggie Swagel (Kyle Goke) and Mitchell Swagel (Rubi Rodriguez-Lopez); his stepdaughter Kristin Wavrunek (Michael Schott); his stepgrandchildren, Evan and Bella Romero; his sister Carol Mertens (John); and his siblings-in-law, Daniel Wavrunek (Debbie), David Wavrunek, James Wavrunek (Josy), Janet Spitzer (Noah) of Jackson, WI, Catherine Wavrunek, Jean Wavrunek and Christal Wavrunek.
