She was predeceased by: her husband Arno J. Herwig; her brother Harold Hansen (Mary); and her siblings-in-law, Marvin Herwig, Ed Drone and Dorothy Schnell.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Halfmann (Bob), David Herwig (Sandra), Sharon Frank (Jed) and Sandra Eithun (Scott); her grandchildren, Aaron Halfmann (Alicia), Adam Halfmann (Ryan Riess), Lauren Sudbrink-Reeves (Christopher), Alex Sudbrink (Maggie), Samuel Eithun, Mitchell Eithun, Lindsey Frank, Alyssa Herwig (Devin Talg) and Anika Herwig; her great grandchildren, William, Elliott, Wesley and Noah; and her siblings-in-law, Richard Schnell and Irene Drone. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for St. Peter UCC Sunday School and the Kiel High School Music Program.
