With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Viola M. Richard-Necker of Kieler, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 27, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Muller and Elizabeth Muller (Holzer); her husband Robert G. Necker; her son Anthony Richard; her siblings, Edna Gillen (Floyd), Freda Pluemer (Philbert), Margaretta Kieler (Francis), Marcella Kieler (Martin), Bernetta Hinderman (Cecil), Mary Kay Muller, Cliff Muller (Marie) and Irvin Muller (Clotilda); her brothers-in-law, Harold Welter, Gerald Jansen and Joe Kaster; her grandson Kurt Richard; and her stepgranddaughters, Jennifer and Melissa Lager.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Goodall (Mike) of DeWitt, IA, Tammy McCracken (Mac) of Davenport, IA, Judy Opgenorth (Steve) of Sheboygan, WI, Jennifer Boever (Keith) of Sherrill, IA, Guy Richard (Jane), Joseph Richard (Darlene) of Sparta, WI, Randy Richard (Kate) of Beaver Dam, WI, Jeff Richard (Linda) of Dubuque, IA, Gerald Richard of Kieler, Ed Richard (Mary Ann) of Kieler and Frank Richard (Laura) of Kieler; and her sisters, Marion Welter, Betty Jansen of Sun Prairie, WI, Isabel Dare (Bob) of Janesville, WI and Patty Kaster of Janesville, WI. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a Viola M. Richard-Necker Memorial Fund has been established.
