She is survived by: her husband Raymond Tompkins; her children, David Retlick, Daniel Retlick (Kristy Warber), Melissa Lovelace (Michael) and Thomas Tompkins (Aprill); her grandchildren, Bailee, Sayge, Leland Warber, Kylie, Camden Lovelace and Freya Tompkins; and her siblings, Vernon "Butch" Chalupa (Sandy) and Pati Merbach (Dick). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for Joanne.
