He was predeceased by: his parents, Arden F. Plath and Grace Seagert Plath; his siblings, Dick and Patsy; his siblings-in-law, Diana Plath Stalzer, Judy Thelen, Al Zuehlke, Orville Stalzer and Gilbert Wagner; and his granddaughter Erin McCarthy.
He is survived by: his wife Mary (Thelen); his grandchildren, Sara Friebel, Nick Friebel (Linda), Ben LaMarche (Kayla), Matt Winter and Beth LaMarche; his great grandchildren, Rose, Colt, Lainey Jo LaMarche, Eleanor and Sylvia Friebel; and his siblings-in-law, Jan Wagner, Dan Thelen and Tom Thelen.
