With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence Heckmann of Krakow, Wisconsin, born in Elgin, Illinois, who passed away on September 21, 2022 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lawrence Heckmann to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawrence Sr. Heckmann and Gertrude Heckmann (Neumann); his father-in-law Verdette Colby (Adella Mae); and his brothers-in-law, Roger Colby (Karen) and Merrill Colby.

He is survived by : his wife Dawn Colby; his children, Julie Szot (Gary) of Crystal Lake, IL and Jeff Heckmann (Jenny); his grandchildren, Cassandra, Brenna, Nolan, Garrin Szot, Jessica and Alyssa Heckmann; his brother Gary Heckmann of LaSalle, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Kendra Royer (Mike) of Hinkley, IL and Denny Colby of Murray, KY. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the ALS Foundation, ProMedica Hospice, or St. John Lutheran Church in Pulaski.

“We would like to thank you both for the wonderful day on that 4th of July invite and Larry seeing him outside on walks talking with him, such a kind man who loved the Lord. He will be missed on walks, church, and Super Ron's groceries shopping ran into him there. Glad he lived near us, wonderful neighbor to have known. Sincerely Fred and Colleen”
