He was loved and cherished by many people including: his adoptive parents, Ewald A. Henke and E. June Henke (Bowles) of Beloit; his sister Susan Johnson-Henke; his niece Elizabeth Herrling; his nephews, Kevin Johnsrud and Robin Johnsrud; and his cousins, Paul Henke, Jim Henke and Mary Gempeler.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts are encouraged to the Gundersen Medical Foundation, First Congregational UCC, The Humane Society, UFAH, or a charity of donor's choice.
