He is survived by: his daughter Cathy; his friends, Paul and Ann Henke; his wife Sharon Ryan (Bouley); his son Scott; his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Harry; his daughter Catherine; his son-in-law Michael; his siblings, Patrick and Elaine; and his granddaughters, Rose Bleau (Jordan) and Muchow (Lolo Young Walser).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Gundersen Medical Foundation or Macalester College.
