He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred H. Hanson and William O. Hanson; his wife Mary; and his siblings, Jon Hanson and Beverly Proust.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Hanson (Ann) of Altoona, Wisconsin and Rebecca "Becky" Wiesinger (Jon) of Granby, Colorado; and his siblings, Nancy Jandt, Janice Stoltz and William Hanson (Joanie). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren.
