With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald R. Wavra of La Crosse, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 13, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his fathers, Lawrence Wavra and Virgil Wavra; his sister Darlene Euers (Wavra); his parents-in-law, Hubert and Loretta Schmitz; and his siblings-in-law, Geri Gilbeck, Mary L Schmitz, Jenny Muehlenkamp, Mary Ann Schmitz, Jim Dunnum, Mike Schmitz, Glenn Muehlenkamp, Gallis Schmitz and Jim Schmitz.

He is survived by: his wife Caroline (Carolyn); his children, Kim Launer (Jim) and Scott Wavra (Tricia); his grandchildren, Emily Launer, Kate and Jack Wavra; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Dunnum, Betty Schmitz, Melissa Schmitz, Darlene Schmitz, Dennis Euers (Glenda), Bob Gilbeck (Jane) and Pete Schmitz.
