He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Alf H. Gundersen and Carroll McCarty Gundersen; and his siblings, Martin Gundersen and Signe Schroeder. He is survived by: his daughter Carol Gundersen; his wife Sophia Ferris; his sister Marit Kulleseid; his children, Andrea Gundersen (Bill Perkins), Jon Gundersen (Ellen Ott), Leif Gundersen and Lisa Gundersen (John Wilhelm); his grandchildren, Kirsten, Erik, Riise, Iris and Josie; and his great grandchildren, Rocky and Rosie.
