He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Nelson and Anna Luetta Nelson; his daughter Mary Patricia; his sisters, Catherine Jepson (Hugh), Edna Mae Fancher (Don), La Verne Rogers (Buck) and Velma Labansky (Clarence); his brother-in-law Victor Mattson; and his brother Robert Nelson (Helen).
He is survived by: his wife Pat of Kendall; his children, Robin Barnes (John) of Racine, Guy (Lynne) of Kendall, Perry (Mary) of Maple Grove, MN and Ryan of La Crosse; his sister Arlene Mattson of Lakewood, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Anthony Barnes (Jessica), Zachary Barnes (Savannah), Britt Fetterly (Jordan), Ashley Johnson (Jacob), Erica Paulus (John), Andrea Nelson and Ariel Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Keegan, Kennedi, Kinleigh Fetterly, Briar, Bodi Barnes, Charlotte, Jackson and Camden Barnes.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to The American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the Kendall Fire Department.
