He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Ostrem and Agnes Ostrem (Thompson); his wife Janice Nelson; and his siblings, Curtis, Kenneth, Keith, Arden, Hazel, Inez, Opal, Beatrice, Olene and Barbara.

He is survived by: his sister Rose Ann Rogers (Smith) of Whitehall; his children, Randy Ostrem (Lisa) of Bailey's Harbor and LeAnn Knoeck (Chuck) of Neenah, Wis.; his grandchild Lyda Sauer (Adam) of Hartford; his great grandchildren, Brynn, Abram and Quentin; his grandchild Thor Ostrem of Bailey's Harbor; his great grandchild Ben Knoeck (Stephanie) of St. Thomas, U. S; and his grandson Zachary Knoeck (Courtney Mueller) of Grand Chute, Wis.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private burial due to Covid restrictions.
