We are sad to announce that on May 14, 2023, at the age of 82, James D. Omernik of La Crosse, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Omernik and Gertrude Omernik (Richter); his parents-in-law, Henry and Bernadine Hernet; his siblings, Mary Burant (Ted), Elizabeth Wadzinski (Don) and Robert Omernik (Ann); and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Hernet.
He is survived by: his wife Donna; his daughters, Christine Griese (Greg) of Hudson, WI, Katherine Jennings (Nick) of Arena, WI and Lynne Lucht (Doug) of Savage, MN; his grandchildren, Joseph Griese, Nathaniel, Katelyn, James Jennings and James Lucht; his sister Kathleen Northrop (Richard) of Broomfield, CO; and his siblings-in-law, Kathryn Omernik of Oneida, WI, Sharon Hernet of Anchorage, AK, Gail Springsteen (Paul) of Waupaca, WI and Dennis Hernet of Manitowoc, WI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to WAFER, Mary, Mother of the Church, or Place of Grace.
