He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Oestreicher and Margaret Oestreicher (Koblitz); his wife Judy Oestreicher (Peterson); his siblings, Arlyne, Elizabeth "Betty", Rosalie "Sally", Mary Ann, Kathleen "Katie", Joseph, Alfred "Fritz", Stephan "Steve" and Paul; his in-laws, Victor and Doris Peterson (Viola); and his brothers-in-law, William Gianoli, Harlan "Moke" Mossholder, Daryl Burge and Jerry Peterson.
He is survived by: his daughter Laura Johnson (Todd); his grandchildren, Jordan Johnson (Autumn) and Hannah Johnson (Thomas); his great grandchildren, Audriauna, Mercedes, Masen, McKinley, Siena and Ryder; and his sisters-in-law, Betsy Oestreicher and Carlene Oestreicher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Monroe County Humane Society, Hunger Task Force, or Wounded Warriors.
