He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Byers and Marguerite Byers (Evans); his wife Lillian B. Olson; and his sisters, Nora and Nancy.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Meyer (Richard) of Sarasota, FL. He is also survived by five nephews, two nieces and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in John's name can be given to Aptiv (formally known as Riverfront, Inc.), which provides services for people with disabilities in several counties in western and southern Wisconsin (learn more at aptiv.org).
