He was predeceased by: his father Donald Erickson (Erickson) of La Crosse; his parents-in-law, William and Irene Belling of La Crosse; his siblings-in-law, John Belling of La Crosse and Tracy Belling of La Crosse; and his close friend Brian Belling of La Crosse.

He is survived by: his mother Kathleen Erickson of La Crosse; his wife Janet (Belling); his children, Jacob Erickson (Samantha McConnell) of La Crosse and Joelle Erickson (Edwin Bishop) of Milwaukee; his siblings, Gregg Erickson (Nancy) of La Crosse, Dawn Christianson (Scott) of Orono, MN and Kim Sorenson (Wayne) of Stevens Point, WI; and his siblings-in-law, Mike Belling (Mary Brickl) of La Crosse, Mary Belling (Mike Lucey) of La Crosse and Diane Lovensheimer (Fritz) of Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
