She was predeceased by : her parents, Loren Copsey and Emma Copsey (Pribyl); and her brothers, Robert, Ronald and Alan Copsey.
She is survived by : her former life partner David Mitchell; her sons, Mark Mitchell (Kim) of La Crosse, WI., Todd Mitchell (Beth) of Rushford, MN. and Scott Hawthorn (Elyse) of Decorah, IA.; her sister Jan Shaw of Sarasota, FL.; her grandchildren, Nate, Dustin, Dylan Mitchell, Aya and Emma Hawthorn; and her great grandchild Cooper Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her honor to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater La Crosse.
