He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Zei and Inez Zei; and his siblings, Peter, William, Florence, June, Mary and Elizabeth.

He is survived by: his wife Arlene Golomski; his children, Christopher (Debra), Stephen, Matthew, Jennifer Stavrou (Christo) and Rebecca; his grandchildren, Ashley, Alexis, Maxwell and Eva; and his brother Dr. John Zei. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman or Catholic Charities Warming Center.
