Phyllis Coleen Branson Obituary
Phyllis Coleen Branson, born on November 9, 1929, passed away on August 21, 2026. Phyllis leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Schuttenhelm and Stella Schuttenhelm; her husband John Roger Branson (Jack); her daughter Gail Branson Comnick; and her great grandchild Braeden Mahlke.
She is survived by: her sons, David (Dory) and Eric (Susan); and her son-in-law Grant.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Dickinson Funeral Home (1425 Jackson St, La Crosse, WI 54601). After Jack's passing she filled the void by traveling and volunteering for various organizations, was awarded the Iverson Freking Ecumenical award in 2007 and honored by RSVP for her many hours volunteering in 2010.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Gail Branson Comnick Scholarship Fund, Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa or Braeden's Library at the Parenting Place, La Crosse.
