He is survived by: his wife Marianne Barta; his brother Andrew Barta (Josette); his children, Jenene Drentlaw (Brian), Brian Barta (Mike), Sarah Heger (Joe), Eric Barta (Larissa) and Kelly Michaels (Chad); his grandchildren, Aili Nelson (Alan), Ethan Heger, Liam Barta, Nolan Heger, Gretchen Tolkkinen (Jared), Hazel Heger, Alex Barta, Jacob Barta, Agnes Heger and Milo Heger; and his great grandchildren, Etta and Liesel Nelson.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish (210 W Hamlin St, West Salem, WI 54669).
