He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Kastenschmidt and Sarah Kastenschmidt (Walters); and his sister Elaine Miller. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Rice; his children, Kathy Meir (David), Kevin Kastenschmidt (Faye Ellis) and Kristen Piechowski (Mike); his grandchildren, Ben Meir (Kelly), Melissa Darelius (Tony), Heather Wilke (Greg Schuda), Ryan Kastenschmidt (Dani), Memphis Piechowski and Macy Piechowski; his great grandchildren, Ellen, Nora, Adam, Annie, Grace, Leo, Piper, Greyson, Crew and Isaiah; and his sisters, Nancy Anderson and Sallie Rosinsky.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Ev. Lutheran Church (400 West Ave S, La Crosse, WI 54601). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to First Ev. Lutheran Church, School, or preschool.
