With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard W. Koelbl of La Crosse, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 9, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard W. Koelbl to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Koelbl and Irene Koelbl (Kocimski); his wife Carol B. Delaney; his siblings, Jeanette Limpert, Irene Pintz, Florence Schmidt, Helen Bentzen, Frank Jr., Donald, Glen and Robert; his siblings' children, Patti Cuddy and Denny Bentzen; and his great-niece Sarah Mathison Hanson.

He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Antony; and his granddaughter Nicole. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“Kim, my condolences. Your dad was a unique man. I enjoyed stopping on my bike rides, to chat with him sitting in his lawn chair, in front of his garage. He was my historian, informing about his dad and his dad's sister, my great grandmother Nan, on their boat trip to America from Austria.. “Hello Thomas! I’m Nicole I’m his granddaughter. This made me smile thank you! I’m going to assume the boat ride story had to do with him almost being thrown overboard because he was a baby and they thought he had passed and then my grandpa “would have never been born…” LOL I’ve heard that story many times and it always always made me smile. He had the best stories!”
