He was predeceased by: his parents, Geoffrey Scarth and Nina Scarth (Dougherty); his wife Linda Lee Loos; and his brother Alfred. He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Short; his son-in-law Daniel Short; his grandchildren, Ethan Short (Mclaine), Benjamin Short and Eliana Short; and his great grandchild Jax Hawkins Short.
