He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Modahl and Charlotte Modahl (Huttenhow); his son Jeffrey; and his siblings, Carl (Agnes) and Rita Hanson (Dick).
He is survived by: his wife Doris; and his children, Diane Armani (Steve Solberg), Michael Modahl (Penny) and Steven Modahl. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Our Savior's Lutheran Church (https://www.oursaviorslutheranchurch.net) or the American Legion Post 52.
