She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Benz and Emma Benz (Hengel); her husband Robert M. Richards; her sons-in-law, Mike Tischer, JD Peppers and Greg Lemke; her great grandchildren, John Michael and Molly Ann Tischer; and her sister Betty Jane Plume-Howard.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jennifer Black (Steve) of Janesville, Robert H Richards (Mary) of Janesville, Steve Tischer (Pam) of Holmen, Erik and Alex Richards of Waukesha, Wisconsin; her great grandchildren, Carrie Black (Chad Pergande) of Janesville, Ryan Black of Janesville, Jack Richards of Janesville, Ben Richards (Madison) of Oregon City and Jack Tischer of Holmen, Wisconsin; and her great great grandchildren, Henry Pergande of Janesville, Wisconsin., Aiden Black of Janesville, Wisconsin. and Scarlett Glass of Janesville, Wisconsin.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to North Presbyterian Church or the Northside Boys & Girls Club of La Crosse.
