He was predeceased by: his parents, Setles Ofte and Ellen Ofte (Haldorson); his siblings, Elsie Gilbeck (Chester), Christine Davidson (Ray), Anna Leum (Gilbert), Annette "Tootsie" Bakkestuen (Joseph), Selmer Ofte, Torkel Ofte and Elmer Peder Ofte (Nancy) of Coon Valley, WI; and his former wife Winnifred Ofte.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Gronvold-Ofte; his son Rod Ofte (Deb); his granddaughters, Anna and Kari Ofte of Coon Valley, WI; and his sister-in-law Mary June Ofte of Oklahoma. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
