With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Doris I. Marten of Ladysmith, Wisconsin, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Doris left this world on June 19, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As Doris departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Doris. Though Doris may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Griep and Esther Griep (Miller); and her siblings, Edwin, Raymond Griep, Clara Ullmann and Pearl Ripke.
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Marten of Fifield, Merri of Ladysmith and Harvey Marten of Ladysmith; and her sister Bonnie Weix of Colby. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hope Lutheran Church (320 1st St S, Ladysmith, WI 54848). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
