It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph C. Smith of Ladysmith, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 27, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Joseph C. Smith to show support.
He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Smith; his great grandchildren, Cody Villiard and Emmett Newman; and his siblings, Hubert, Dalton, Paul, Ralph and Marjorie Brookhart.
He is survived by: his children, Leah Newman (Mike) of Bruce, Laura Reed (Kirk) of Naples, FL, Garth Smith (Lori) of Evergreen Park, IL and Garret Smith (Kim) of Kenosha, WI; and his grandchildren, Lori Villiard (Rick), Avery Newman (Kim), Andrea Newman, Evan Newman, Naomi Mallard (Daniel), Luke Reed (Keira), Miriam Smith, Emery Smith, Hugh Smith and Peyton Smith. He is also survived by his seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hope Lutheran Church (320 1st St S, Ladysmith, WI 54848). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in the name of Joseph C. Smith can be made to the Hope Lutheran Church Food Pantry or a charity of your choice.
